How to get to Eskrigg Nature Reserve
Eskrigg Nature Reserve is located just over one mile from Lockerbie town centre, making it easily accessible by car, bus or on foot.
To arrive at Eskrigg Nature Reserve from Lockerbie Station, walk to the nearby Bridge Street Bus Station. From here, you can take both the 81 and the 831 services to the nearby Vallance Drive Bus Stop. Once you arrive, it’s just a 15-minute walk into the reserve.
There’s also the option to simply walk from the station. It will only take you around 45 minutes to arrive at the reserve’s centre from Lockerbie town centre.
If you’re driving, take the A709 towards Dumfries and turn left into Vallance Drive, then immediately right onto Eskrigg Farm Road. Follow this road for 400 meters and you’ll reach Eskrigg Nature Reserve’s car park.
The reserve is well-equipped for visitors with mobility challenges, featuring a hardcore, all-user path. It leads from the car park down a gentle slope to the reserve itself.
