How to get to the Birmingham Christmas Market
Birmingham New Street Station offers convenient rail connections from many of the UK's largest cities.
From London, direct trains are available exclusively from London Euston. Trains are also available from Liverpool Lime Street. These will arrive in Birmingham New Street in less than two hours.
To get to the Birmingham Christmas Market 2024, exit onto Hill Street. From there, turn right and follow Hill Street up to Victoria Square. You'll arrive in less than five minutes.
When arriving from Manchester Piccadilly, you will also arrive at Birmingham New Street in less than two hours.

You can enjoy city-wide sights on the Ferris wheel, which look especially magical as the lights begin to glow at dusk. The popular wheel and ice rink is returning for 2024 and will run from 10am to 10pm from November 1st.
The markets also offer the chance for kids to meet Santa Claus. He always visits so that they can share their Christmas list and snap a photo.
Weekdays are generally less crowded and allow you to avoid the hustle and bustle of the weekends. It’s a good idea to visit in the week if you prefer to miss the large crowds.

Established in 1997, the Birmingham Xmas Market has grown into a beloved tradition. It is now recognised as one of the largest authentic German Christmas markets outside of Germany and Austria.
Today, it features over 150 stalls and is a key part of the city's festive events. The Christmas Market turns Birmingham into a wonderland and attracts over five million visitors each year.
This year the German Market in Birmingham opens on November 1st and runs until December 24th, leaving plenty of time to enjoy it. Opening times include:
Monday to Thursday: 11am - 9pm
Friday: 11am - 9.30pm
Saturday: 10am - 9.30pm
Sunday: 10am - 9pm
The exception to these opening times is Remembrance Sunday, 10th November: 1pm - 9pm
