About Glasgow Science Centre
As an educational charity, Glasgow Science Centre is all about inspiring people with science. The organisation wants Scotland to feel empowered through science to make positive changes to their lives.
Income generated by the charity is reinvested to support their purpose. This helps them to create an experience that is constantly growing and developing for its visitors.
The centre was opened in July 2001 by Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. It was the largest project in the country to receive Millennium funding from the Millennium Commission. This aimed to create a long-lasting legacy with lottery funding.
The Pacific Quay development, where the GSC is located, is now home to plenty of other important buildings and businesses. The glass-fronted building’s neighbours include the likes of BBC Scotland and STV.
Glasgow Science Centre tickets cost £14.75 for adults, £11.50 for children, and £13.15 for concessions.
