Stuck for ideas for the August Bank Holiday weekend? Why not nip out for a day (or a weekend) to The Long Road festival? From the dreamy grounds of Stanford Hall, you’ll find a huge slice of stateside culture waiting for you. Getting there is easy – alight at Rugby station where you can catch a festival shuttle bus to take you straight to the heart of it all (tickets available on the festival website). We hear the chicken wings are real tasty, too.

Head to London to celebrate summer at one of the capital’s largest music events happening over a few weekends. Penrith will chime with spectacular sounds this August with Kendal Calling promising a line-up of legendary acts and greatly received newcomers on its many stages.
