Why visit Liverpool this Christmas

CHRISTMAS MARKETS - Lime Street Station and St George’s Hall provide the perfect backdrop for Liverpool’s Christmas Market from 16 November, with Chavasse Park only short walk away hosting children’s rides and more food and drink huts to continue the festivities.

SHOPPING - Liverpool ONE will host a ‘white Christmas’ event on 16-17 Nov where snow will descend upon the shopping complex, alongside other events throughout the festive period. It’ll also see the welcome return of Bar Hutte with karaoke huttes, family activities and food and drink.

THEATRE - Disney’s Aladdin will be in Liverpool from 11 Dec until 5 Jan, or enter Christmas-Shire, an interactive experience where you’re part of the story. If you fancy something more risqué there’s a plethora of adult pantomimes containing the renowned scouse wit.

SANTA DASH - thought to be the UK’s largest festive 5k, the Santa Dash on 1 Dec will see 5,500 runners turning the city red and blue.

LIGHT SHOWS - Despite River of Light finishing in early November, there are plenty of spectacular light shows across the region, including Liverpool Cathedral, Knowsley Safari Park and Chester Zoo.
