Lots of accidents on our trains and at our stations happen after drinking. We want to make it easier to stay safe by offering you a low alcohol beer for your journey with us.

How low can you go?

Safety Thirst contains just 0.5% alcohol. It’s the perfect choice if you fancy a beer, but don’t want the booze.

Your safety is important. But so’s great tasting beer! So we’ve brought them both together in a can of Birmingham’s finest. Created in partnership with Birmingham Beer Company, it’s a zingy, fresh and refreshing brew that’ll go down nicely and help you get there safely.

At Avanti, your safety is everything. That’s why we’re asking all our customers to Take care. Get there. It’s our campaign to stop accidents before they happen, by helping you to look out for yourself when you’re travelling with us.

We’re delighted to say that accidents have fallen since we launched our campaign, with a 44% decrease in slips, trips and falls. At Stafford station, Take Care. Get there. has helped to reduce accidents by a massive 80% from July to August 2024.

Look out for our campaign when you’re out and about on out network. And look out for yourself too. Simple things like holding the handrail on the stairs and taking the lift when you’ve heavy luggage make all the difference to your safety.

About your beer

You’d never know it’s 0.5% alcohol. Every sip delivers a refreshing citrus taste and the classic mouthfeel of beer. Brewed using British Pale Malt, dry hopped with a blend of citra, chinook, centennial and mosaic.
